Solar Power Integrators, a DBA of J.R. Conkey & Associates, a Construction Management firm is registered in the federal databases SAM, VetBiz (CVE verified), FBO and SBA as a Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) under DUNS #128514874.

J.R. Conkey & Associates has operated out of its Roseville, California headquarters for more than 36 years. The company was founded by Jim Conkey, a seasoned development, construction management, and construction executive. Mr. Conkey was a Vietnam-era veteran of the Marine Corps who became disabled as a result of battlefield injuries, and has volunteered on both national and local levels to assist in the development of various programs designed to aid his fellow disabled veterans and their business endeavors. He has served as the California Director of the Association for Service Disabled Veterans and as Treasurer of the California DVBE Alliance.

J.R. Conkey & Associates, the parent company of Solar Power Integrators, opened its doors in 1979 as a consulting firm specializing in Project Feasibility through Design, Development and Construction, and was incorporated in the State of California in October, 1980. Since 1993 the firm expanded its focus to include multiple projects for construction management and cost estimating at medical facilities, prisons, road and bridges, civil works, parks and school districts. In 2007 the company entered the solar sector, founding Solar Power Integrators. In 2008 Solar Power Integrators won its first projects as prime general contractor and has continued to expand its experience, focusing on public and large commercial work.

Solar Power Integrators has formed several strategic partnerships that include financial energy solutions, solar electrical and structural design engineering and solar product manufacturers. Solar Power Integrators and its team members have been the project lead or a key team member for multiple commercial and government projects, from 10kW to 35mW in size.
